Happy Birthday Mom

My mom's birthday was yesterday and my aunt's was 4 days before it. It's an emotional week for the family. It's hard right now to find words/thoughts to write about. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about my mom and how much I miss her. I still can't believe she's gone. Even after almost 3 months. At other times, it feels like so much time has gone by since I was out in California.

Yesterday, I went to Starbucks and got a Cinnamon Dolce Latte and a vanilla scone because they were her favorites. After work, I went to Michael's to get a foam arts and crafts project her and I used to do together but they were unfortunately sold out. I thought of another way I might pay tribute to her but I need to work on the idea a little bit more.

Yesterday, I also hit the halfway point to the $2,300.00 minimum needed to walk. I felt even better that I got there on her birthday and it meant something even more to me. I'm really looking forward to walking this year. It just seems like something I need to do.
