And we're off...

Today Sarah and I are doing our first walk together. I've been training by myself but it was finally nice enough outside to schedule a walk for us both. I'm not sure where exactly we're going to walk, but we're planning on 4-5 miles. She wanted to do more than 3, so we'll see how we feel.

I'm trying to put a fundraising idea into play. I'm hoping to talk to Sarah about it tonight. I want to make it a big event we do every year. Apparently, some of my mom's friends back in Farmington Hills, MI are putting on a "Breast Western Hoe Down" to kick off breast cancer awareness month in October. I think that's pretty fantastic. I want to get more "Keep Your Hooter's Healthy" shirts printed to possibly sell up in Michigan and in Chicago as well.

I've been doing some graphic design work for some other teams. I'm doing a series of 3 shirts for the "Think Pink Panthers." I guess all the teammates are into sports, so each t-shirt has a different saying and sport associated with it. Here's the first draft of the front of the first shirt I made. I wanted to make sure they liked it before I cranked out all 3 of them:

I think it came out pretty cute. I'm excited to do the other 2, which I will post once they're done. I also need to wrap up the back of the shirt.

I also designed a shirt for my friend Shannon who will be walking in the Path to Progress 5K Walk/Run with her friend Jen who was diagnosed with a rare malignant glioneuronal tumor in May of 2008. You can read more about Jen and donate to their team.

The shirt has Jen's dog Madi on it. Her last name is Sweet, thus the clever team name.
